This Is What Stops the Buzzing for Good

Fewer Bugs Every Night, Not Just One Less

Wake Up Without a Single New Bite

ZapiTrap spends the whole night drawing the mosquitoes away from the bed and holding them where they can’t reach you until they die. You run it overnight and wake up to skin that isn’t covered in welts, morning after morning.

It doesn’t stop at mosquitoes either. Gnats, fruit flies, moths, and small flies get pulled in just the same.

No Sprays, Fumes, or Chemicals to Worry About

Bug sprays, coils, and plug-in refills all work by putting chemicals into the air you breathe. Completely odorless, ZapiTrap works with light and airflow instead. So there’s nothing to inhale and nothing to wipe off little hands.

Run it on the porch, in the yard, by the campfire, or anywhere else the family tends to gather, without fumes drifting over anyone.

The Easiest Bug Trap You'll Own

ZapiTrap slots into your life the moment you open the box:

Plug-and-Play in Seconds

Plug the USB into any adapter or power bank, flip it on, and you’re done. There’s nothing to set up.
Goes Anywhere You Need It

At 4.7 x 8.4 inches it passes for a small lamp, so it moves wherever the bugs are, like the bedroom, office, dorm, or even the RV.
Empties in One Motion

Slide the tray out, dump it, and slide it back in. It takes about ten seconds, and you never touch a bug.

Engineered to Make Mosquitoes Disappear

What turns a quiet lamp into a bug magnet

LureWave™ UV Light

Tuned to 395-400nm – the exact slice of the spectrum nocturnal insects lock onto. To your eye it’s a dim violet glow. To a mosquito’s, it’s the brightest thing in a dark room, and it can’t not fly toward it.

SilentDraw™ Suction Fan

A recessed vortex fan generates downward draft strong enough to pull a mosquito off course mid-flight, with no grid, no spark, and nothing to hear. The bug goes down into the tray and stays there until it dies.

Easy-Empty Collection Tray

Trapped insects collect in a removable tray at the base. It slides out in one motion, empties into the trash, and slides back without you having to disassemble the lamp or touch the bugs.

USB-Powered Convenience

One USB cable runs the whole thing, off a wall plug, power bank, laptop, or RV battery. At 11 oz and under 9 inches tall, it moves wherever you need it.

From Box to Bug-Free in About a Minute

Power It On

Plug USB into any wall plug, power bank, or laptop. Set it where the bugs attack you the most.

Turn The Lights Off

Switch it on and turn everything else off. The darker it gets, the harder the UV pulls.

Go To Sleep

That’s your whole job. Tip the tray into the trash in the morning and reset for the next night.

Here’s How Our Mosquito Light Changed Their Nights

Melanie

We used to dread July. Both kids would wake up covered in welts and I was spraying down their room every night, hating that I was doing it. First week with ZapiTrap on the dresser, the bites stopped for good like on day 3. Now it’s the only thing running in there overnight and they wake up happy, rested, and actually free of any bites!

Thomas

I’m the one mosquitoes always find. I’d lie there waiting for that whine by my ear, then spend half the night swatting at the dark. Plugged this in, killed the lights, and the buzzing was just gone. I sleep through now, and on the rare morning I check the tray it’s done a full night’s work.

Rosie

Our apartment backs onto a pond, so every summer the bedroom turned into a feeding ground no matter how many plug-ins we bought. I figured this was another gadget we’d return. Four nights in the tray told a different story, and a week later we’d basically stopped getting bitten indoors!

No more welts on my kid

My girl would wake up scratching every summer morning and I refused to spray chemicals in her room because I didn’t want to make her sick but also sleeping with the windows shut was too hot for her. Got this because it doesn’t use chemicals and I’m surprised how well it works I empty the little tray each day and you can see it’s really pulling a lot of bugs in.

Finally killed that 3 am buzzing

You know that one mosquito that finds your ear the second you lie down? Well, now it’s gone. All it took was to put Zapitrap on the nightstand, and now I sleep like a log. Best $$$ I’ve spent all summer.

Quiet enough I forget it's even running

I’m a super light sleeper so I was worried it’d hum or click, but it doesn’t!! Genuinely silent. Half the time I only remember it’s on when I go to dump the tray in the morning.

Got it because it doesn’t use chemicals

We have a 7 month old and a cat so anything with chemicals was a hard no for us. This is just light and a fan, so we figured that it’s worth it. And it is! Runs all night in the nursery without a problem.

Gets gnats too not just mosquitoes

I bought it for mosquitoes since we sleep with windows open but the surprise win was that it also attracts other bugs. I noticed that it caught the little fruit flies that hang around our kitchen so I moved it near the fruit bowl for a couple nights and they thinned right out. Didn’t expect that!

Works way better than I expected

Not gonna lie I figured this would be another junk gadget that does nothing. Tried cheap zappers before that were basically nightlights. This one’s different, the tray actually fills up. Took maybe 2-3 nights to really notice but it works.

You can even use it in the RV!

Since it runs off USB we plugged it right into our camper setup. Took it to the lake last month and the inside stayed clear while everyone outside got eaten alive lol.

Looks good and works even better

Half the reason I bought it is that it doesn’t look like an ugly gadget, more like a little lamp or something. My co-worker thought it was a diffuser. The bonus is that it’s quietly clearing out whatever flies in through my window.

Saved me from a cabinet full of sprays

I counted it up one day, citronella candles, two kinds of spray, those plug-in things, a coil thing for the patio. Easily a couple hundred bucks a summer and I was still getting bitten. Bought one of these instead and just stopped buying all the rest. Pays for itself and then some.

Doesn’t bother me and I’m a light sleeper!

Putting it on the nightstand was the whole test for me because anything that hums or glows bright keeps me up. The light is this soft purple, real dim, more like a night light than anything. And there’s zero noise.

Catches a lot of bugs every night

I checked the tray after the first night and there were like two bugs and I almost left a grumpy review. Turns out you gotta run it as the only light in the room with everything else off. Once I did that the catches went way up. Read the instructions, basically. Works great now.

Improved my quality of life significantly!

Some people get a little bump from a bite, I swell up like a golf ball for three days. Been running ZapiTrap in the bedroom for about a month and the difference in how my arms and ankles look is night and day. Can’t recommend it enough to anyone who reacts bad.

Great gift for a student

My daughter’s dorm doesn’t allow candles or sprays or anything like that and she was getting eaten alive by her open window. This RA had no issues with it. She says her roommate ordered one the next week.

Super easy cleanup

I have a thing about touching bugs and with this you literally never do. You slides the tray out, dump all the dead nasties in the trash, and slide it back in. It’s such a small thing but it’s the reason I actually keep using it.

Can carry it all over the house

Started in the bedroom, then realized I could just carry it wherever the problem was. Living room when we leave the patio door open too long, kitchen when the gnats show up, back to the bedroom at night. Way more useful than I expected for the price.

Genuinely works well

A week in and the bedroom went from “can’t sleep” to fine. That’s all I wanted and that’s what I got.

“ZapiTrap Was Rated As The Best Mosquito Lamp Of 2026.”

Meet Our Expert

Entomologist

I get asked which mosquito traps actually work, and most don’t. But ZapiTrap is one I’m comfortable recommending. It uses the 395-400nm UV range mosquitoes are genuinely attracted to, paired with quiet suction instead of chemicals or a noisy zapper. It’s effective, it’s safe to run around kids and pets, and there’s nothing to breathe in. That’s a rare combination.

Dr. Alex Rivera

Frequently Asked Questions

Does ZapiTrap actually work, or is it like those cheap zappers?

Most cheap ones are basically nightlights with a buzz. The difference is whether the bug actually ends up caught. A mosquito bug zapper waits for insects to wander into a grid. With ZapiTrap, it actively pulls them in and the tray holds them until they dehydrate and die. You’ll see the catch in the tray every morning, and the bug count keeps dropping night over night.

How is this better than bug spray or plug-ins?

Sprays and plug-ins repel bugs or mask you with chemicals, but the mosquitoes are still in the room. ZapiTrap removes them. It traps and holds the insects instead of pushing them around, and it does it without putting anything in the air you breathe. You also buy it once, instead of restocking sprays and refills all season.

Is it really safe around kids and pets?

Yes. ZapiTrap doesn’t use any chemicals, sprays, or fumes. Nothing is released into the air, so it’s safe to run all night in a bedroom, nursery, or next to pets.

How long until I see results?

Most people notice fewer bites within the first few nights and a real difference within a week. Run it every night for the best results, since it works by lowering the population over time, not by clearing a room in one shot.

My tray isn't catching much, what am I doing wrong?

Almost always it’s competing light. ZapiTrap works best as the only light in a dark room. If a lamp, TV, or hallway light is on, mosquitoes go toward that instead. Turn everything else off, place it near where you sleep, and the catch count increases.

Does it cover a whole room?

Yes, it’s designed for standard bedrooms and living spaces. For very large or open-plan areas, people often run one per room or move it to wherever the bugs are worst that night.

How big is it? Will it fit on a nightstand?

ZapiTrap is about the size of a small lamp – 4.7 x 8.4 inches and just under 11 oz – so it sits on a nightstand, desk, or shelf without taking over the surface. It’s light enough to pick up and carry to whatever room the bugs are in that night.

Does it only catch mosquitoes?

No, it also pulls in gnats, fruit flies, moths, and other small flying insects. One device handles most of what flies around the house because it’s an indoor bug light, not just a mosquito catcher.

Is it noisy? Will it keep me up?

No. The fan runs at a whisper and there’s no zapping or crackling. The light is a soft, dim violet that’s closer to a night light than a lamp.

How do I clean it?

Slide out the tray, tip the bugs into the trash, slide it back. The whole process takes just 10 seconds.

How is it powered?

With a single USB cable that’s included in the box. Just plug the mosquito trap into any wall adapter, power bank, laptop, or RV battery, and let it work.
